Running regularly (and other forms of physical activity) has many benefits such as potentially increased bone density, stress relief, combatting depression, helps you lose weight and improves the health of your heart and lungs.
Couch to 5K is a running plan that was created for absolute beginners and involves 3 runs per week, with a day of rest in between, using a different schedule for each of the 9 weeks gradually building up how much time you run for.
Couch to 5K works because it starts with a mix of running and walking to gradually build up your fitness and stamina and is designed to work for everyone. If you are worried about any health concerns before you start, have a chat with your GP first.
First class is on 4th September 2019 meeting at the Village Hall in Langford at 6pm and all you need to bring is a pair of running shoes/trainers and wear something appropriate for the weather. Water is provided but feel free to bring your own water if you want to.
In week 10, we will put your training into practice with a 5k run, so sign up before the 4th September and get ready to change your life.
